The completion time depends on the size of the car, the required bodywork, disassembly and installation work, etc. Respraying the entire car is a complex and time-consuming process. The material costs alone can be around €2000 for a medium-sized passenger car. The duration of the work is typically 2-4 weeks, often even longer.

Respraying begins with assessing the damage, such as rust, dents, etc. After that, parts that need to be removed are taken off the car to allow for proper bodywork. The prep work for the paint follows the bodywork, where the car’s surfaces are primed before the top coat is applied, sometimes even twice for the best possible finish. Afterward, the car is sanded, protected, and then a new paint and clear coat are sprayed on. For a showroom-quality finish, multiple layers of clear coat may be applied with intermediate sanding in between.
